What do we learn when we put all the scriptures together and look at them through the map in parts?

Just making a point on 4 very important questions:

Let us see how you would answer them now!

How would you answer these 4 questions?

1. What does believing “alone” do for a person?

___________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

2. When is the moment of salvation and how do we attain it?

___________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

3. When do we receive the “indwelling” of the Holy Spirit and how do we attain it?

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

4. Can a person lose their salvation? And if they can, how can they lose it or is there something that needs to be done to maintain it?

___________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

1. What does believing “alone” do for us?

a. Believing “alone” does not save anyone! Believing only gets us nearer to Salvation! Rom 13:11,

i. Because the word of YHWH says that believing SHALL, SHOULD, MIGHT or MAY take us to salvation! John 3:15, John 3:16, John 3:17, John 20:31, Rom 10:9,

b. After believing we are sealed with YHWH’s promise of salvation, Eph 1:13-14, Gal 3:22, 1 John 2:25, and we are sealed until the day of our salvation, Ephesians 4:30 as long as and if we do what He says!

Because of point #2. – When the moment of salvation is and the way we attain it!

And also because of point #3. – Of how and when we receive the “indwelling” of the Ruach Hakodesh!

2. What biblically brings us to salvation?

a. Repentance! Luke 13:3, Luke 13:5,

b. Confessing Christ out loud! Rom 10:10,

c. Conversion! Matthew 18:3, James 5:19-20,

i. Conversion is received by a growing faith and repentance! Luke 22:31-32, Acts 3:19,

d. YHWH’s Saving Grace! Act 15:11, Eph 2:8, Titus 2:11,

i. Saving Grace is received ONLY through Faith and Obedience to the faith! Rom 1:5, Rom 5:2,

e. Obedience to YHWH’s commandments! Rev 14:12,

i. Obedience is to perfect faith! 1 Tim 1:5,

f. Faith, 1 Peter 1:5, 1 Peter 1:9,

i. Hearing the word of YHWH, having Virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, charity, and having a pure conscience strengthens our faith! Rom 10:17, Col 2:12, 2 Peter 1:5-7, 1 Tim 3:9, Even being water baptized for a clear conscience strengthens our faith! 1 Peter 3:21,

ii. Doing the “Good” works of God is to perfect faith! James 2:22,

g. Water Baptism! John 3:5, 1 Peter 3:21,

h. Remission of sins! Luke 1:77,

i. Remission of sins is received by believing, repenting, and being water baptized!Mark 1:4, Luke 3:3, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:43

i. Enduring to the end! Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13,

3. What gives us the indwelling of the Ruach Hakodesh?

i. Water Baptism! Matthew 3:11, Matthew 3:16, Mark 1:8, Mark 1:10, Luke 3:16, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:33, John 3:5, Acts 1:5, Acts 11:15-16,

ii. Baptism and believing “together”! Mar 16:16,

iii. Remission of sins! Acts 2:38

iv. Laying of the hands after water baptism! Acts 8:18-19, Acts 19:1-6

Would the following verse make sense if I told you, that through this verse God is telling us the first and last thing we have to do to receive salvation?

Mark 16:16 (KJV) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Everything else falls on what you do during & between believing and baptism!

Please check those that you agree with.

o You must repent of your sins! Mark 16:16, Luke 13:13, Acts 17:30.

o Or can you biblically say that if you do not repent, you will still make it into the kingdom of heaven or was repenting just a suggestion?

o You must confess you are a sinner during baptism! Matt 3:6, Mark 1:5.

o Or can you biblically say that if you do not confess you are a sinner, you will still make it into the kingdom of heaven or was confessing another suggestion?

o You must call upon the Lord (audible)! Romans 10:9-13, Acts 2:21.

o Or can you biblically say that if you do not call upon the Lord Audible, you will still make it into the kingdom of heaven or just thinking about it works?

o You must confess Christ (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) as Lord and Savior! Rom 10:9-10, Phil 2:12.

o Or can you biblically say that if you do not confess Christ (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) as Lord and Saviour, you will still make it into the kingdom of heaven or was it a merely suggestion?

o You must get baptized with water! Num 19:7-9, Matt 3:6, Acts 8:36-38, Acts 22:16, Col 2:12.

o Or can you biblically say that if you do not get baptized, you will still make it into the kingdom of heaven or was it really just a suggestion to express or show off publicly your faith? Does this not go against Matt 6?

o You must get baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost! Matt 28:19.

o Or can you biblically prove that if you get baptized using someone else’s name, maybe being baptized in the name of Paul, you will still make it into the kingdom of heaven?

o You must get baptized purposedly FOR the remission of your sins! Acts 2:38

o Or can you biblically prove that there is another way that you receive the “REMISSION” of your past sins? Or that you will still make it into the kingdom of heaven without having your sins remitted?

o You must also “purposedly” get baptized for the indwelling of the Holy Ghost! Acts 19:2-6, Mat 3:16, Mark 1:10, John 1:32,

o Or can you biblically prove that the indwelling of the Holy Ghost is automatic?

o The person doing the baptism must pray for you and lay hands on you after baptism, in order to receive the indwelling of the Holy Ghost! Acts 19:2-6. Acts 8:17-19.

CONVERSION

…………………………………….

Study 31. Conversion

Conversion is a process, and it begins with the moment you believe and hopefully ends before you die! Because as you will read, if you die without it, you will go to hell!

Ø Has your Pastor ever told you that, we all need to be converted in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven?

Ø Did you know that even though Apostle Peter, believed, performed miracles, and walked with Christ for over 2 years, and if he would have died before the resurrection, he would have gone to hell? He would have still gone to hell by the time “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) went to heaven which was 40 days after the resurrection!

(Answer to Questions #12) When it comes to Peter and what he believed, the gospel tells us that Peter not only believed “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) was the Christ, but it also tells us that Peter knew for a fact that He was the Christ!

Matt 16:13-17 (KJV) When “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14…15…16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Hamashiach, the Son of the living God. 17 And “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Peter believed! But was he truly saved?

When it comes to Peter’s faith, the gospel tells us that Peter was also lacking faith!

Remember when Peter tried to walk on water? Matt 14:28-31 (KJV) And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach). 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Christ stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Peter was lacking faith!

Listen to what “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) told Peter about his failing faith and conversion. Luke 22:31-32 (KJV) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

(Peter’s faith was still failing and he was NOT converted yet!)

Here is the (continuation) and proof that this was before the crucifixion!
33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

So, until the moment leading to “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) crucifixion, peter was lacking faith, was not converted yet, and had denied Him 3 times!

Here is where “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) tells us that conversion is a Necessary step to salvation!
Mat 18:3 (KJV) And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Except ye be converted, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven!

If you are NOT converted, you will NOT enter into the Kingdom of Heaven!

So far, we have proved that by the time of the crucifixion, Peter still had not completed his conversion, and no conversion means not entering the Kingdom of Heaven, which means NOT saved!

You see, Satan wants us to believe we are saved the moment we believe, but when you truly go deep into the scriptures and specially see the story of peter’s salvation, we can see that he went through a couple of different things before he received his salvation!

PETER HAD TO GO THROUGH A CONVERSION PROCESS!

Peter first saw Christ and believed John 1. Peter then confessed his sin Luke 5:1-11.

Finally, Peter later confessed Christ as Lord Mark 8:27–9:1.

During all this time, Peter was walking with “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach), learning from Christ and at the same time preaching and teaching, doing the works of the Lord, and even performing miracles.

But we know for a fact, that by the time of Christ’s crucifixion, Peter’s faith was failing, He denied Christ 3 times and he was not converted yet!

We already know that we need conversion, but did you notice in Luke 22, how Peter denied Christ? And what does “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) say about denying Him? Mat 10:33 (KJV) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

So, even though Peter had been walking with “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) for over 2 years; If Peter would have died at that moment, Peter would have gone to hell.

Because:

1. Peter was not converted yet! Mat 18:3 (KJV) Except ye be converted, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

2. “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) would have denied Peter because Peter denied Him 3 times! Mat 10:33 (KJV) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Whether Peter’s faith was perfected, and his conversion completed when he received the Holy Spirit in power in Acts 2, (Pentecost) or way later when he embraced the fullness of the gospel in Acts 10:11 Is NOT the point here! That is not what I am trying to point out! The main point is that YHWH has requirements for us, in order to give us eternal life. And that we are NOT saved the moment we believe.

We must be converted to be able to make it into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 18:3 (KJV) And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

In order to convert, we must see, hear and understand with our heart.

Mark 4:12 (KJV) That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Also found in Mat 13:15, Isa 6:10, John 12:40, Acts 28:27

If we convert a sinner to the truth of the gospel, we will save a soul from death.

James 5:19-20 (KJV) Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

We will be converted if our faith does not fail.

Luke 22:31-32 (KJV) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Peter was not converted until after Peter denied Him 3 times. What this tells us is that peter’s conversion was sometime after Christ was crucified and resurrected. Most likely during Pentecost. Even though Peter believed and had faith (not perfect faith), he still did the works of YHWH and performed healings but was not converted until way later.

Conversion comes after faith.

Luke 22:31-32 (KJV) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Conversion comes after repenting.

Acts 3:19 (KJV) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Salvation is not by conversion alone, there are other things YHWH requires of us.

Hearing, seeing and understanding with our heart: Mark 4:12 (KJV) That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Also found in Mat 13:15, Isa 6:10, John 12:40, Acts 28:27

Faith: Luke 22:31-32 (KJV) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Repentance: Acts 3:19 (KJV) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Looking at the case of Peter and why his conversion seems to have taken a long time instead of the blasphemous doctrine of a salvation as soon as the person believes, Luke 22:31-32 (KJV) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

In the biblical sense, conversion means a turning—a spiritual turning away from sin in repentance and to Christ in faith. It is a dramatic turning away from one path in order to pursue an entirely new one. It involves turning ones back to the system of the world and its anti-YHWH values. It involves a turning away from dead religion and self-righteousness. It involves a complete turn, an about-face, in order to enter through the straight gate that leads to life.

Matt 7:13 (KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Conversion also involves the idea of changing direction. A true spiritual conversion radically alters the direction of one’s life. It is not a partial change wherein one is able to straddle the fence between two worlds. It is not a superficial turning, a mere rearranging of the outward cover-up of a person’s life.

Conversion is not a gradual change that occurs over a period of time, like sanctification. Instead, a genuine conversion occurs much deeper within the soul of a person. It is a decisive break with old patterns of sin and the world and the embracing of new life in Christ by faith.

This spiritual conversion is so profound that it involves many changes in a person. It involves a change of mind, which is an intellectual change. It involves a change of view, a new recognition of YHWH, self, sin, and “Christ”(יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach).

It involves a change of affections, which is an emotional change, a change of feeling, a sorrow for sin committed against a holy and just God. It involves a change of will, an intentional turning away from sin and a turning to God through “Christ”(יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) to seek forgiveness. The entire person—mind, affections, and will—is radically, completely, and fully changed in conversion.

ENDURING TO THE END

…………………………………….

Study 32. Enduring to the end

If we endure to the end, we will receive salvation.

Mat 24:13 (KJV) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Matt 10:22 (KJV) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Mark 13:13 (KJV) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

We must endure hardness and afflictions:

2 Tim 2:3 (KJV) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Christ.

2 Tim 4:5 (KJV) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

We will be chastened by God and we must endure His chastening.

Heb 12:6-8 (KJV) For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, YHWH dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

“Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) endured to the end:

John 17:4-5 (KJV) I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

John 19:30 (KJV) When “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Paul the apostle endured to the end:

Acts 20:24 (KJV) But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach), to testify the gospel of the grace of YHWH.

2 Tim 4:6-7 (KJV) For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

As we have also learned, Peter had to endure to the end also. If he would have died anytime around the crucifixion, he would have gone to hell. See Conversion study 33.

Salvation is not by enduring to the end alone, there are other things YHWH requires of us.

Obedience: John 17:4-5 (KJV) I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Keeping the faith: 2 Tim 4:6-7 (KJV) For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Are you starting to understand this verse?

Luke 13:23-24 (KJV)

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Spirit, Soul, and Body.

…………………………………….

Our Spirit.

The Bible makes a clear distinction between the human spirit (the spirit we are born with) and the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God).

1. Every human is born with a spirit that is given by God. That spirit is the God-given spiritual consciousness, and connection to the spiritual realm. It is the only way we learn about the spiritual world, whether those spiritual things are of God or not.

Job 32:8 (KJV) But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

1 Corinthians 2:11-12 (KJV) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

2. We would not be able to receive and discern the things of God, if we did not have a spirit within us.

1 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

3. The Human Spirit Is Capable of Pride, Rebellion, or Humility.

Proverbs 16:18-19 (KJV)Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Deuteronomy 2:30 (KJV) But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.

1 Samuel 1:15 (KJV) And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

4. Though fallen, the human spirit still carries a spark of God's original design—it can be convicted, awakened, and restored.

Proverbs 20:27 (KJV) The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

5. We Must Be Born Again Spiritually

Christ draws a line between our natural birth (with a fallen human spirit) and the spiritual rebirth we receive through baptism and the Holy Spirit.

John 3:6 (KJV) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

6. When our body dies, our spirit goes back to God.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Our natural human spirit is not evil in itself, but it is incomplete, fallen, and incapable of reconciling with God on its own. The human spirit needs our soul and flesh.

Our Soul.

The Bible speaks extensively about the soul, what it is, its value, and its role in our relationship with God.

1. What Is the Soul?

Our soul is often described as the life force or the inner self of a person, who we really are beneath the flesh. Our soul is a living thing, is who we are, our true essence and our will.

Genesis 2:7 (KJV) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

2. The Soul Is Precious and Eternal

Matthew 16:26 (KJV) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

3. The soul can only be destroyed by God.

Matthew 10:28 (KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

4.The Soul Can Be Lost or Saved. The soul is accountable to God, and sin brings spiritual death.

Ezekiel 18:4 (KJV) Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

James 1:21 (KJV) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

5. The Soul Feels, Thinks, and Desires.

Psalm 42:1-2 (KJV) As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.  2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

Psalm 103:1-2 (KJV) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

6. The Soul Needs Restoration to righteousness and rest.

Psalm 23:3 (KJV) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV) Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Summary:

The soul is your true, inner self—your mind, will, and emotions.

It is created by God, belongs to God, and is accountable to Him.

The soul is eternal—it doesn’t cease after death. Unless God destroys it.

It can be lost through sin or saved through faith in Christ.

It longs for God and can find rest, healing, and transformation in Him.

The Body / human Flesh.

The War Within the Soul

God created us as triune beings — spirit, soul, and body — each with its own purpose and destiny. Scripture says, “I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23). The spirit is our link to God, the flesh connects us to the physical world, and the soul stands in between, deciding which one to follow.

Our soul is the center of the will, emotions, and reason. It is the seat of personal identity, the part of us that chooses between obedience and rebellion. When the Spirit of God moves within, it calls the soul upward toward holiness and truth. When the flesh stirs with desire, it pulls the soul downward toward corruption and death. The battlefield of human life is not external but internal. Every decision reveals which master the soul has chosen.

Paul described this conflict when he said, “The flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other” (Galatians 5:17). The soul is where that struggle takes place. The Spirit urges submission; the flesh demands indulgence. The soul cannot remain neutral; silence is surrender.

When life ends, both spirit and body separate from us. The body returns to dust, as written, “For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Genesis 3:19). The spirit returns to God who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7). The only part of us that remains under judgment is the soul — the true self, bearing the record of every thought, choice, and desire. “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

The soul is therefore the eternal witness of how we responded to the Spirit’s call. If it yields to the Spirit, it is renewed, sanctified, and preserved unto life. If it clings to the flesh, it is corrupted and dies. This is why Christ warned, “What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

At death the spirit returns to its Maker, the flesh decays, but the soul remains. It carries the memory of obedience or rebellion and stands before the throne of God to give account. The destiny of that soul depends on which voice it followed in life — the Spirit that leads to righteousness or the flesh that leads to destruction.

Scripture shows that our flesh (our human, sinful nature) is deeply self-preserving and, when left unchecked by the Spirit of God, capable of lying, deceiving, and even destroying others to survive or get what it wants.

1. It’s through the flesh, (our physical senses and body) that we come to understand and experience the physical world around us, both its good and its bad.

The flesh is not able to receive and discern the things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

2. The flesh is naturally carnally dead and deceitful above all things.

Ephesians 2:3 (KJV) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

That means our flesh it will lie, even to our souls, to protect its desires and interests.

Romans 7:18-24 (KJV) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

3. The Flesh lusted against the spirit.

Galatians 5:17-21 (KJV) For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

In summary:

The flesh is like a beast of survival,it will lie, deceive, and destroy anything that threatens its desires. It knows its time is limited and therefore will do anything to attain its desires. This is why Christ said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily…” (Luke 9:23). Only by dying to the flesh and walking in the Spirit can we overcome the corrupt drive of the old nature.

The carnal (fleshly) mind not only resists God but brings death. It defends itself—even against God’s truth—because it sees surrender as a threat to survival.

Romans 8:6-8 (KJV) For to be carnally m For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

GOOD WORKS

…………………………………….

This is where it really starts getting interesting!

Most churches teach that Good works are not an essential part of salvation!

They usually quote Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of YHWH—not by works, so that no one can boast.

And then we have those that say otherwise and quote James 2:14 (KJV) What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

So, is this an error, lack of knowledge, or is it purposedly sold this way by those so called “Pastors” to get more attendance, more money and volunteers flowing to the church?

Whatever the case may be, Satan is the one that is bringing separation and watered-down salvation plans to YHWHs’ children with the unlimited stock of lies that he has in his arsenal.

The Greatest thing for believers is that false teachings always have many contradictions found in the Holy scriptures, and the true word of YHWH will never contradict itself.

Most false teachers try to explain their beliefs by using long and confusing explanations that some theologian has come up with, instead of using more scripture to back it up.

In the part of believers accepting and having an erroneous doctrine it is because there is either a lack of knowledge and understanding in their part, an error on the bible translation that is being used or even willful ignorance to the word of YHWH!

The first two are easily corrected by listening, reading and being obedient to what YHWH commands us to do in regard to knowing the truth.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of YHWH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1 John 4: 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of YHWH: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Tim 2:15 (KJV) STUDY to shew thyself approved unto YHWH, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Romans 12:2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of YHWH.

2 Timothy 3:14-17 (KJV) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.

Proverbs 15:28 (KJV) The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

The moral of this story is, that YHWH gave us the Holy scriptures for learning and correcting our doctrine and because many false prophets are gone out into the world, WE MUST NOT TRUST EVERYTHING WE HEAR, and we must verify everything with the Holy scriptures. If by any chance we find a contradiction, it only means that we need to pray, research and study some more.

Once we find that verified truth, we must continue in it and share that knowledge with others. (This is one of the type of “good works” the New Testament talks about). 2 Tim 4:5 (KJV) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

So, do NOT trust everything I say. You must verify it no matter what, and if you think or see any contradictions, come back to me with that information, because I should be able to provide to you and teach you with scriptural information and not some confusing doctrine or theology invented by man.

Let’s start by some simple questions and testing a theory of contradiction!

Please answer them with your honest answers!

Will YHWH allow an unbeliever who denies professing Him, is abominable (detestable) in His eyes, disobedient to Him, and is a reprobate (not pure) unto every good work, enter into His heavenly kingdom?

Of course NOT! I pray you agree with me on this one!

What about a so called “believer” who denies professing Him, is abominable (detestable) in His eyes, disobedient to Him, and is a reprobate (not pure) unto every good work, enter into His heavenly kingdom?

If by any chance you said yes on this one, then please explain biblically, why yes.

What makes such a difference between an unbeliever and a believer, when they both deny professing YHWH, are abominable (detestable) in the eyes of YHWH, are disobedient to YHWH, and are reprobates (not pure) unto every good work of YHWH?

Let’s get this theory closer to an experience closer to you and test it!

A man says he has received salvation and has been saved for over a year now. He believes, he repented, he prayed the sinner’s prayer, he was baptized, etc., etc. Yet he does not do: Any works meet for repentance. His faith is questionable because of the lack of good works. He can’t/won’t preach, evangelize, or even help the ministry in sharing the word of YHWH, because he is too busy and lacks knowledge, truth and study of the gospel. To sum it up, he is not fruitful because he lacks only good works.

But his friends and his Pastor says he is saved! And always will be as long as he continues believing and repenting whenever he sins!

If he continues without not doing good works and dies today, will he go to heaven, according to the word of YHWH? Yes, or No?

With a “little bit” of sarcasm, I will say the following:

I guess YHWH is a respecter of a person’s opinion (Acts 10:34) and God complies with humanity and speaks saying. “Even though this man lacks good works, and he is denying Me by doing so, and he is disobedient to Me, and he is detestable in My eyes, and I consider him a reprobate/not pure unto any of My good works. And most important, just because his Pastor says he is saved, then, I will look the other way and change my ways and my commandments so when this mans’ body dies, I can allow him into my kingdom as a saved person and he will therefore live with me forever, happily ever after!?” RIGHT?!?!?!?! ……WRONG! Dead Wrong!

Act 10:34 (KJV) Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that YHWH is no respecter of persons:

Answer to Question #13

What happens if we do not do good works?

We deny professing YHWH!

We are abominable (detestable) to YHWH!

We are disobedient to YHWH!

We are reprobates (not pure) unto every good work!

Titus 1:16 (KJV) They profess that they know YHWH; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

The problem is that many churches confuse people by putting everything in the same pot. They mix the good works of YHWH, with the works and deeds of the pharisees. They mix the laws and commandments of YHWH, with the 613 laws and rules of the scribes and the pharisees. They omit the works of faith and turn a blind eye on the scriptures that say, “that man is justified by works and not by faith alone” or the one that says, “faith without works is dead” (James 2:20-26).

In reality, EVERYTHING we do is works!

When we call out YHWH, we have to physically open our mouths and call Him out!

When we believe, we have to physically get up and out of our shells to follow YHWH and be obedient to His commandments!

Even to hear the word of YHWH, we have to physically listen to it.

What about other good works such as studying the bible, teaching the word of YHWH, getting baptized or baptizing others. Or do you think when Christ said, repent and be baptized, or to stop sinning, or go and make disciples, we can do this while we are sitting on the sofa physically doing nothing, or is it that you believe that when Christ opened His mouth to say anything, he was merely giving us SUGGESTIONS?

What about repentance?

Doesn’t repentance become works?

For example, if we have the sin of lying and we truly repent, we should physically stop lying, yes, or no?

Or if we have the sin of sexual immorality, and we truly repent, we have to physically do something about it so we can stop sinning, yes, or no?

So how would you understand this commandment directly from “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach), when He appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus?

Acts 26:14-20 (KJV) ………... 20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to YHWH, and do works meet for repentance.

Did YHWH our heavenly Father and “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) our Saviour command for us to repent or was it just a merely a suggestion?

Acts 17:30 (KJV) And the times of this ignorance YHWH winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent!

Works are an essential part of salvation, just like, believing, repenting, water baptism, etc.!

The only difference is that works come during and after salvation and are performed in order to maintain that salvation!

And here follows the biblical proof!

What must we do to maintain our salvation?

We need to endure to the end:

If we endure to the end, we will receive salvation. Mat 24:13, Matt 10:22, Mark 13:13

We must endure hardness and afflictions. 2 Tim 2:3, 2 Tim 4:5.

We must be obedient to every word of God! John 14:15, 1 Peter 1:14, John 14:15, John 3:36, Acts 5:29, Luke 11:28, 2 Corinthians 10:5, etc.

In OBEDIENCE is where most people fail. The same way that Adam and eve failed.

Obedience is the practical acceptance of the authority and will of YHWH. It includes both submitting to Him and then expressing that submission in actions, words and thoughts. To be obedient is to be in agreement with YHWH. To be in agreement and obedient to YHWH and His commandments is to love Him with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.

Disobedience is a SIN caused by rebellion and distrust of YHWH. To be disobedient is to yield to self-will instead of surrendering to Him and desiring His will in all things.

(Answer to Question #14) Why are good works so important?

Because only through the good works of YHWH is that our faith is strengthened and made perfect! James 2:22 (KJV) Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

God will judge us by our works; Every man’s work shall be manifest.

1 Peter 1:17 (KJV) And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Also found in, 1 Cor 3:13-15,

Christ will reward our works

Rev 22:12 (KJV) And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

We walk worthy of the Lord when we are fruitful in every work, and when we increase in the knowledge of God!

Col 1:10 (KJV) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of YHWH;

What types of Good works are we commanded to do?

We are to do the same works that Hamashiac did and greater.

John 14:12 (KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

We are commanded to be unmovable abounding in the work of the Lord.

1 Cor 15:58 (KJV) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

We must do the work of an evangelist.

2 Tim 4:5 (KJV) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

“Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) did the works of the Father.

John 9:4 (KJV) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

“Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Taught and preached the gospel .

Matt 4:23 (KJV) And “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Also found in, Matt 9:35, Luke 20:1, Matt 9:35, Mark 1:14,

“Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) performed healings.

Matt 9:35 (KJV) And “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Also found in, Matt 4:23

Disciples do the same works that Christ did.

They teach and preach the gospel.

Acts 14:21 (KJV) And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

Acts 8:25 (KJV) And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. Also found in, Acts 15:7, Luke 9:6, Acts 14:7, Acts 16:10, Acts 20:24, Rom 15:19,

They performed healings.

Luke 9:6 (KJV) And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

The disciples did more works than Christ did.

They baptized.

John 4:2 (KJV)(Though “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

They preached through mighty signs and wonders.

Rom 15:19 (KJV) Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of YHWH; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

We must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

Phil 2:12 (KJV) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

YHWH will stablish us in every good work.

2 Thes 2:16-17 (KJV) Now our Lord “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Christ himself, and YHWH, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

We must abound to every good work.

2 Cor 9:8 (KJV) And YHWH is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Without ceasing your work of faith.

1 Thes 1:3 (KJV) Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Christ, in the sight of YHWH and our Father;

Also found in, 2 Thes 1:11,

YHWH will count us worthy of His calling & fulfill the work of faith

2 Thes 1:11 (KJV) Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

YHWH will remember our work.

Heb 6:10 (KJV) For YHWH is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Remember on this study how after 2+ years, if Peter would have died, between Christs’ crucifixion and His resurrection, Peter would have gone to hell?

Are you now starting to understand the entire truth of YHWH, not only to get to the point of salvation, but also to maintain our salvation?

A little more here.

So, is it truth what the pastors teach about works not for us gentiles or an essential part of salvation?

Here is the summary about the works of YHWH, of who must do them!

Keep this verse in mind:

John 8:39 (KJV) They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

If you believe in “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) and have accepted Him as Lord and Saviour, then you have been adopted by YHWH the Father, and being Christ’s you are now of Abraham’s seed, therefore, you are of the house of Israel. You are a child of Israel!

Ephesians 3:6 (KJV) That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Galatians 3:28-29 (KJV) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ  “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach). And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Romans 3:22 (KJV) Even the righteousness of YHWH which is by faith of “Jesus” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Romans 8:17 (KJV) And if children, then heirs; heirs of YHWH, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Titus 3:7 (KJV) That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 11:9 (KJV) By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

Keeping the Sabbath is also works and is for us as gentiles also. So, we will also be doing that study which explains pretty much why and who must maintain it, along with how it must be maintained.

THE WORKS OF GOD

OR GOOD WORKS?

So how would you understand this commandment directly from “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach), when He appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus?

Acts 26:14-20 (KJV) ………... 20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to YHWH, and do works meet for repentance.

Did YHWH our heavenly Father and “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) our Saviour command for us to repent or was it just a merely a suggestion?

Col 1:10 (KJV) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of YHWH;

“Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) did the works of the Father.

John 9:4 (KJV) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

“Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Taught and preached the gospel .

Matt 4:23 (KJV) And “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Also found in, Matt 9:35, Luke 20:1, Matt 9:35, Mark 1:14,

“Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) performed healings.

Matt 9:35 (KJV) And “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

John 4:2 (KJV)(Though “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

2 Thes 2:16-17 (KJV) Now our Lord “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Christ himself, and YHWH, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

We must abound to every good work.

2 Cor 9:8 (KJV) And YHWH is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Without ceasing your work of faith.

1 Thes 1:3 (KJV) Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Christ, in the sight of YHWH and our Father;

“Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

If you believe in “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) and have accepted Him as Lord and Saviour, then you have been adopted by YHWH the Father, and being Christ’s you are now of Abraham’s seed, therefore, you are of the house of Israel. You are a child of Israel!

Ephesians 3:6 (KJV) That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Galatians 3:28-29 (KJV) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ  “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach). And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Romans 3:22 (KJV) Even the righteousness of YHWH which is by faith of “Christ” (יהושוע Joshua Hamashiach) Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Torah or Talmud

Torah vs Talmud

Is there a misconception about Torah and the Talmud?

The world is told the following about Torah:

The Torah is the first part of the Jewish bible. It is the central and most important document of Judaism and has been used by Jews through the ages. Torah refers to the five books of Moses which are known in Hebrew as Chameesha Choomshey Torah. ... It is also known as Torat Moshe, the Law of Moses. Knowing that YHWH directly gave Moses His laws, we can properly say that Moses laws and YHWH’s laws are one.

When you research or ask a Jewish person what the Talmud is, they will tell you that Talmud is the oral word of YHWH. In other words, the Talmud is the 613 Torah laws. They will say that the Talmud consists of Moses laws and therefore Talmud are YHWH’s commandments.

The Talmud notes that the Hebrew numerical value (gematria) of the word "Torah" is 611 and combining Moses's 611 commandments with the first two of the Ten Commandments which were the only ones heard directly from YHWH, adds up to 613. (Why only the first 2 of the 10 commandments?)

According to Jewish tradition, YHWH handed down the Torah directly to Moses, who dutifully recorded it word for word. It is the Written Word.

On the other hand, the Talmud is the Oral Word of YHWH - handed down at the same time and repeated by generations.

So, lets break it down as if there are 2 different types of Torah.

YHWH’s Commandments (Originally called Torah) brought in by Moses and written by YHWH.

The Torah/Talmud (Counterfeit) brough in by Pharisees and scribes from what they allegedly heard directly from YHWH.

So here, we will be breaking down the Talmud/Torah from the scribes and pharisees.

Are these Talmud/Torah laws truly YHWH’s commandments?

Are these the commandments from YHWH to men or the commandments from men to men?

Yeshua speaks about those who wrote Torah and some of their laws in Matthew 23, basically a whole chapter dedicated to the scribes and pharisees.

Matthew 23 (KJV)

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,

2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.

21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of YHWH, and by him that sitteth thereon.

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous,

30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

So now we can see that Yeshua had an issue with the Pharisees and scribes. Personally, I would like to know why. Call me nosy if you like. But it is more about knowing YHWH and the truth that He brings to us. Knowing His truth, brings understanding on how Satan is deceiving this world and therefore we can TRY and show or guide the lost into realizing that anything they know and have learned, may have been counterfeited and changed by Satan.

There is only one truth, YHWH’s truth. In the other hand, Satan has an infinity of lies. Satan has many religions and YHWH only has one, and the truth of it, is that it is not even a religion! It is more of a doctrine, the apostle’s doctrine to be exact. (But that is another study).

We now get into the more interesting part of the study. We must now break down the difference between Torah, Covenants and Commandments, because they are 3 different things.

Torah definition = Law Strongs Number: H8451

Hebrew Word, תּוֹרָה

Transliteration, tôwrâh

Strongs Definition = a precept or {statute} especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch.

BDB Definition = law, direction, instruction (human or divine).

(in Judaism) the law of YHWH as revealed to Moses and recorded in the first five books of the Hebrew scriptures (the Pentateuch). Torah only becomes law, because of a contract/covenant, not because of YHWH’s commandments. The purpose was to make/stablish the way to Yeshua.

Covenant= cov·e·nant ˈkəvənənt/Submit
(διαθήκη / dee-ath-ay'-kay G1242

Noun 1.an agreement.
synonyms:    contract, agreement, undertaking, commitment, guarantee, warrant, pledge, promise, bond, indenture; More
verb 1. agree, especially by lease, deed, or other legal contract.
"the landlord covenants to repair the property"
synonyms:    undertake, contract, guarantee, pledge, promise, agree, engage, warrant, commit oneself, bind oneself
"the landlord covenants to repair the property"

A biblical covenant is a religious contract or agreement that is described in the Bible. All Abrahamic religions consider biblical covenants important. Of the covenants found in the Pentateuch or Torah or the first five books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, the Noahic Covenant is unique in applying to all humanity, while the other covenants are principally agreements made between YHWH and the biblical Israelites.

Commandment (Yeshua’s) = Strong's No.:G1785
Greek: ἐντολή Transliteration: entolē Pronunciation: en-tol-ay'
Definition: From G1781; injunction that is an authoritative prescription: - commandment precept.

The definition of a commandment is a rule that must be obeyed, especially one handed down by YHWH. A divine rule given by YHWH to Moses such as the rule that "Thou shall not kill" is an example of a commandment.

Now that we got this out of the way, let us begin with:

Matthew 28:20 (G1781) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commandedyou: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

In Mat 28:20, Yeshua said, to keep His commandments (ἐντέλλομαι / entellomai G1781, to order, command to be done)

In Mat 28:20, Yeshua did not say to follow His laws (תּוֹרָה / tôwrâh H8451, law, direction, instruction)

In Mat 28:20, Yeshua did not instruct them to follow His covenant (διαθήκη / dee-ath-ay'-kay G1242 properly a disposition that is (specifically) a contract)

John 14:21 (G1785) He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Origin G1785 Origin from G1781

Keeping the Torah law gives you your own righteousness.

Philippians 3:9 (KJV) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Hamashiach, the righteousness which is of YHWH by faith:

“The righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees consisted of seeking the acceptance of YHWH by their careful adherence to their rules and traditions. “I keep more rules than you do, so I’m more righteous than you!” But the righteousness that exceeds this comes from faith in YHWH. When we act in faith before YHWH, YHWHgrants us His own righteousness.”

To recap, there are 2 types of Torah. Torah (Commandments) being the laws of Moses for example the 10 commandments on which is YHWH’s instructions to Men.

And the other Torah being the 613 laws of the Pharisees and Scribes also known as the Talmud, which are the laws that came out of YHWH’s instructions to Moses for the people. Moses DID NOT give these 613 Talmud laws, the pharisees and the scribes where the ones who wrote them.

Let’s continue talking about the Pharisees Talmud Torah commandments. So, since according to knowledge, The Talmud (613 commandments of YHWH) should be the same commandments of YHWH, or at least commandments backed up by the word of YHWH. Then we should be able to find them in the word of YHWH and at least in the old testament.

Unless it was a secret covenant with commandments JUST for the Jewish people. And not intended for ALL the children of Israel. (Children of Israel covers, every one that comes to Christ and becomes an adopted child of YHWH, but this is another study).

Again, YHWH’s commandments and the Talmud commandments are supposed to be the same.

I need to make this point “The study is to find out whether Torah/Talmud commandments are biblical or not. This has nothing to do with salvation. Salvation, we know comes through Christ. So, my point here is that the main problem with this idea of following keeping Talmud/Torah commandments alone, is that you will fail to ACCEPT Yeshua’s New Covenant, you will also fail to follow Yeshua’s commandments and therefore will NOT receive His salvation. In other words, you need more than just keeping some commandments or laws. (This is also another study)

So, let us continue, because, If YHWH’s commandments are to be followed by EVERYONE and we are to follow Yeshua and His teachings. Then we have a contradiction or a serious problem.

Because Yeshua did NOT follow all of Torah/Talmud commandments. And since according to what we think we know so far, Torah/Talmud are YHWH’s commandments and since Yeshua did not follow them all, He must have been shunned from by the Jewish pharisees and scribes.

Wait…., He was killed for it!

So, maybe the scribes and the pharisees were wrong and that is why Yeshua did NOT follow most of the commandments from the Talmud/Torah.

So let us examine all of the Talmud/Torah commandments and compare them all with the word of YHWH!

OK, never mind, there are 613 laws, it will cover like 100 pages. So, let us just examine a couple of them, especially the ones that speak about Torah.

I am just thankful that all their 613 commandments bring their biblical reference.

Commandment #13. To love other Jews—Leviticus 19:18

Leviticus 19:18 (KJV) Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

YHWH says to love thy neighbor and thyself Not just Jews!

Commandment #14. To love converts—Deuteronomy 10:19

Deuteronomy 10:19 (KJV) Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

YHWH says here to love the stranger and NOTHING about the converts!

Commandment #15. Not to hate fellow Jews—Leviticus 19:17

Leviticus 19:17 (KJV) Thou shalt not hate thy brotherin thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him

YHWH says not hate thy brother. So, this can run 2 ways, it will be as brother in conversion or brother in blood. It does not say to love Jews, because not all Jews are brothers and not all Jews are converts.

Commandment # 22. To learn Torah and teach it—Deuteronomy 6:7

Deuteronomy 6:7 (KJV) And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

You will have to read Deuteronomy 5 and 6 to understand this one better. YHWH says NOTHING about Torah here! He actually says to teach His commandments. Are Torah commandments, YHWH’s commandments? YHWH uses the word commandments and not laws nor Torah nor Talmud.

Commandment #23.To honor those who teach and know Torah—Leviticus 19:32

Leviticus 19:32 (KJV) Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord.

Nothing to do with Torah here. YHWH says honor the old man, not those who teach Torah.

Seems to me that Torah and Talmud are just manmade titles.

Commandment #27.Not to worship idols in the manner they are worshiped - Exodus 20:5

Exodus 20:5 (KJV) Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

According to the pharisees we can worship idols as long as we do it the right way.

Commandment #33. To burn a city that has turned to idol worship -Deuteronomy 13:17

Deuteronomy 13:17 (KJV) And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

There is nothing to do here with burning, and if I missed it somewhere, then why is Vatican City not in flames? Or for that matter most of the world?

Commandment # 272. To read the Torah Portion pertaining to their presentation—Deuteronomy 26:5

Deuteronomy 26:5 (KJV) And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

Something was lost in this interpretation. Maybe the pharisees and the Scribes knew most converts will not question every rule?

Commandment #499. Buy and sell according to Torah law—Lev 25:14

Leviticus 25:14 (KJV) And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbor’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

What Torah laws? It merely says, “DO NOT OPPRESS the other person of whom you are buying from or selling to”. So do not hassle him. Do not place him in a spot that he feels he has to pay you more or give you a discount? This one falls into their next rule #500. Not to overcharge or underpay for an article—Leviticus 25:14.

Commandment # 580. Not to add to the Torah commandments or their oral explanations—Deuteronomy 13:1

Deuteronomy 13:1 (KJV) If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

I just don’t see where they got this one from.

So far in 10 Torah commandments, we have learned that it seems that the Pharisees and the Scribes assume that we are to believe that YHWH’s command us that:

We are only to love Jews. #13

We are to love only those converted to Torah (Pharisee law) #14

We are to hate everyone, Except the Jews. #15

We are to love only those who teach Torah (Pharisee law) #23

We can worship Idols as long as we do it the right way #27

We must burn every city that has turned to idol worship. #33

The Vatican is a city. What is stopping the pharisees from being obedient?

We are to read the Torah in accordance of how the Torah tells us! #272

In other words, we are to read YHWH’s commandments only the way the Pharisees and Scribes instruct us. I guess that is why they wrote the Torah/Talmud. Every converted Jew has one and lives by it. Do the Catholics do this?

We are to buy and sell according to how the Pharisees and the scribes tells us to. (Gain in tithing and taxation goes to the Pharisees). #499

We are not to add to the Pharisee commandments or their oral explanations. #580

On this one I can only say it makes sense when they command you not to add to the oral explanations of Torah. Because if you do not understand “it is because you lack YHWH’s knowledge” or you are not Godly enough and therefore should not question it. Sounds cultish to me. The Catholic church does the same thing.

We are to learn Torah (all pharisee and Scribe given commandments including the above commandments) and teach them. #22

There are a lot more unbiblical commandments given by the pharisees and scribes, But I pray this is sufficient to at least make you question their intentions for the 613 Torah commandments.

Colossians 2:19-22 (KJV) And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

Now when it comes to Yeshua and His covenant. Here are some sample commandments that are not followed by the Torah/Talmud.

Matthew 5, 6 & 7 Sermon on the mount (Covenant)

Matthew 8:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 13:34 (KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

1 Timothy 6:11 (KJV) But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness…..12 …..13…14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Timothy 1:5 (KJV) Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Yeshua came to fulfill the law (The law is not done away with yet Matt 5:18) Yeshua also brought in a new covenant, on which anyone that believes in Him will be added as Abraham’s seed and therefore now the children of Israel.

Prophesied in:
Jeremiah 31:31-34 (KJV) Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Matthew 5:17-20(KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 3:15 (KJV) And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Both, to fulfil righteousness.

Fulfilled covenant:
Hebrews 8:13 (KJV) In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 12:24 (KJV) And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel.

Fulfilled the law of righteousness

Romans 10:4 (KJV) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Fulfilled both, the law of righteousness and the old covenant

Galatians 3:15-29 (KJV) Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. 18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. 19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. 21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Hebrews 7:11-28 (KJV) If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. 13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. 15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, 16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. 17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. 20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: 21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) 22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. 23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Ephesians 2:13-22 (KJV) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 8 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Hebrews 8:6 (KJV) But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Romans 7:1-6 (KJV) Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Warning for Breaking YHWH’s commandments because of law or traditions!
Titus 3:8 (KJV) This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. 10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Matthew 15:3 (KJV) But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
Mark 7:8 (KJV) For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

Colossians 2:19-22 (KJV) And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. 20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

Galatians 6:11-16 (KJV)  Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. 12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. 13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

1 Timothy 1:5-11 (KJV) Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. 8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. *Hebrews 8 and 9, Romans 3:9-31

Abrahamic covenant
The covenant was for Abraham and his seed, or offspring, both of natural birth and adoption.

Prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31-34

Explained in Galatians 3:15-19

The Brit bein HaBetarim, "Covenant Between the Parts" The covenant found in Genesis 12–17 is known as in Hebrew and is the basis for brit milah (covenant of circumcision).

In Genesis chapters 12–17 three covenants can be distinguished based on the differing Jahwist, Elohist and Priestly sources. In Genesis 12 and 15, YHWH grants Abraham land and a multitude of descendants but does not place any stipulations (unconditional) on Abraham for the covenant's fulfillment. By contrast, Genesis 17 contains the covenant of circumcision (conditional).

1. To make Abraham a great nation and bless Abraham and make his name great so that he will be a blessing, to bless those who bless him and curse him who curses him and all peoples on earth would be blessed through Abraham. [Gen 12:1–3]

2. To give Abraham's descendants all the land from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates. [Gen 15:18–21] Later, this land came to be referred to as the Promised Land (see map) or the Land of Israel.

3. To make Abraham the father of many nations and of many descendants and give "the whole land of Canaan" to his descendants. [Gen 17:2–9] Circumcision is to be the permanent sign of this everlasting covenant with Abraham and his male descendants and is known as the brit milah. [Gen 17:9–14]

Galatians 3:16 (KJV) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Love.

Strongs Number: G26

Greek Word: ἀγάπη

Transliteration: agape

Strongs Definition: love that is affection or benevolence; specifically (plural) a love feast.

Love is translated from the Greek word ἀγάπη, (agape). Greek has multiple words for love, including eros which is sexual love, and Philos which is brotherly love. Agape’ is perfect love that only YHWH can give.

In respect of agape as used by YHWH, it expresses the deep and constant “love” and interest of a perfect God towards entirely unworthy objects, producing and fostering a reverential “love” in them back towards YHWH, and a hands-on “love” towards those who are partakers of the same faith, and a greater desire to help others to seek YHWH.”

When it comes to the “love” we are to have for others, it is the agape type of love that YHWH imparts within our spirit and not the “love” that we give by ourselves as a mortal person.

The foundation of YHWH’s creation (US) is relationships and family. These relationships are both our natural family and church family. Relationships however are a privilege, and to a degree we understand this, and find ourselves with a deep sense of honor, respect, patience and a few other choice attributes found in 1 Cor 13.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (KJV) Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
This verse describes the characteristics of true love. These qualities are found in Christ, and all truly loving relationships. The problem with trying to find love in our dating relationship is that too often we don't look for these characteristics. Rather we look at physical appearance, popularity, or wealth.

1 Peter 4:8 (KJV) And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
1 John 4:8 (KJV) He that loveth not knoweth not YHWH; for YHWH is love.

1 John 4:16 (KJV) And we have known and believed the love that YHWH hath to us. YHWH is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in YHWH, and YHWH in him.

1 John 4:18 (KJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
1 Corinthians 16:14 (KJV) Let all your things be done with charity.

If we talk about the Love we are to have for our Creator, then we have to understand what His love language is and how to show Him our love. Because He requires something very different than what we need.

John 15:9-11 (KJV) As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

John 13:34-35 (KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 14:15 (KJV) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

The only way to keep the first commandment is to love YHWH, and the only way to love YHWH is by being OBEDIENT to His commandments. There is no other way around it. It is a plain and simple circle.

Reasons Why Obedience to YHWH Is Important

1. It is the First and great commandment:

Deuteronomy 6:5 (KJV) And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Matthew 22:37-40 (KJV) “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach) said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Mark 12:30-31 (KJV) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Luke 10:27 (KJV) And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

2. Christ Calls Us to Obey

In “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach), we find the perfect model of obedience. As his disciples, we follow Christ's example as well as His commandments. Our motivation for obedience is love:

John 14:15 (KJV) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

3. Christ showed His love to YHWH the Father by following His commandments.

John 14:31 (KJV) But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

4. The transition for us: that the same way Christ loved His Father and showed Him love, we are to do the same.

John 14:31 (KJV) But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John 15:10 (KJV) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 21:15-17 (KJV) So when they had dined, “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach) saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach) saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

5. Obedience Is an Act of Worship and is our reasonable service.

While the Bible places a strong emphasis on obedience, it's critical to remember that believers are not justified (made righteous) by obedience.

True disciple obedience flows from a heart of gratitude for the grace we have received from the Lord:Romans 12:1 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of YHWH, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto YHWH, which is your reasonable service.

6. The only way YHWH chooses for us to show Him love is through obedience. He does not ask for hugs, nor gifts, nor for us to say, “I love you”. His only requirement is obedience to His commandments: John 14:15 (KJV) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21 (KJV) He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:23 (KJV) “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach) answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

1 John 5:2-3 (KJV) By this we know that we love the children of YHWH, when we love YHWH, and keep His commandments. For this is the love of YHWH, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.

2 John 1:6 (KJV) And this is love, that we walk after His commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Exodus 20:6 (KJV) And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Deuteronomy 5:10 (KJV) And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

7. YHWH Rewards Obedience

Over and over again we read in the Bible that YHWH blesses and rewards obedience:

Genesis 22:18 (KJV) And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Luke 11:28 (KJV) But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of YHWH, and keep it.

But don’t just listen to YHWH’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

James 1:22-25 (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

8. Obedience to YHWH Proves Our Love

The books of 1 and 2 John clearly explain that obedience to YHWH demonstrates love for Him. Loving YHWH implies following his commands:

1 John 5:2-3 (KJV) By this we know that we love the children of YHWH, when we love YHWH, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of YHWH, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

2 John 6:6 (KJV) And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

And of course, there is more to it, Here are more examples!

John 15:10 (KJV) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

9.Obedience to YHWH Demonstrates Faith

When we obey YHWH, we show our trust and faith in him:

And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments.

If someone claims, "I know YHWH," but doesn't obey His commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. But those who obey YHWH's word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in YHWH should live their lives as Christ did. 1 John 2:3–6 (KJV) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of YHWH perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

10. Obedience Is Better Than Sacrifice

The phrase "obedience is better than sacrifice," has often perplexed believers. It can only be understood from an Old Testament perspective. The law required the Israelite people to offer sacrifices to YHWH, but those sacrifices and offerings were never intended to take the place of obedience.

But Samuel replied, "And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king". (1 Samuel 15:22–23, KJV)

11. Disobedience Leads to Sin and Death

The disobedience of Adam brought sin and death into the world. This is the basis of the term "original sin." But Christ's perfect obedience restores fellowship with YHWH for everyone who believes in Him:

Romans 5:19, KJV For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

1 Corinthians 15:22, KJV For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

12. We must be doers of the word and not just listeners.

James 1:22 (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

John 9:31 (KJV) Now we know that YHWH heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of YHWH, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

Deuteronomy 11:1 (KJV) Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.

13. Through Obedience, We Experience the Blessings of Holy Living

Only “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach) is perfect, therefore, only He could walk in sinless, perfect obedience. But as we allow the Ruach Hakodesh to transform us from within, we grow in holiness. This is the process of sanctification, which can also be described as spiritual growth. The more we read YHWH's Word, spend time with “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach), and allow the Holy Spirit to change us from within, the more we grow in obedience and holiness as Disciples: Psalm 119:1–8, KJV Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

Luke 11:28 (KJV) But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of YHWH, and keep it.

Acts 5:32 (KJV) And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Ruach Hakodesh, whom YHWH hath given to them that obey him.

Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love YHWH, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Deuteronomy 11:26-27 (KJV) Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

Hebrews 5:9 (KJV) And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

2 Corinthians 7:1, KJV Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of YHWH. This verse says, "Let us work toward complete holiness." We don't learn obedience overnight; it's a lifelong process that we pursue by making it a daily goal.

Disobedience is a SIN caused by rebellion and distrust of YHWH. To be disobedient is to yield to self-will instead of surrendering to YHWH and desiring His will in all things.

Sin is the transgression of YHWH's known will and/or His commandments or any of His principles. Sin is rooted in a broken relationship with Him, ourselves and others. Broken relationships bring doubts and fear, which are lack of faith and whatever is not from faith is Sin.

· 1 John 3:4 (KJV) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

· Romans 14:23 (KJV) ……………………: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

· Matthew 24:12 (KJV) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

· Revelation 2:4 (KJV)Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

To become disobedient is to sin or rebel against YHWH.

· Matthew 10:37 (KJV) He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

· John 14:24 (KJV) He that loveth me NOT keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

· Luke 6:46 (KJV) And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

· 1 Corinthians 16:22 (KJV) If any man love not the Lord “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach) Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

· Psalm 119:136 (KJV) Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

· Proverbs 28:9 (KJV) He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Sin hinders our prayers. If we aren’t doers of what we know we should do, it will hinder our prayers. We need to obey YHWH and please Him for our prayers to be answered.

· John 9:31 (KJV) Now we know that YHWH heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of YHWH, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

· Psalm 66:18 (KJV) If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

· Isaiah 59:2 (KJV) But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

YHWH curses those who are disobedient to Christ and His commandments.

· Ephesians 5:6 (KJV) Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of YHWH upon the children of disobedience.

· Deuteronomy 11:28 (KJV) And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God,but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

· 2 Thessalonians 1:8 (KJV) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not YHWH, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord “Christ” (יהושועJoshua Hamashiach) Christ:

· 1 Samuel 12:15 (KJV) But if ye will not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then shall the hand of the Lord be against you, as it was against your fathers.

· Proverbs 28:9 (KJV) He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Knowing the true biblical definitions is of most importance to be able to see and read the scriptures through the Apostles eyes.

In this study we learned that to Love YHWH = to be obedient to YHWH

And abhor = to detest.

We have also already learned in Study 15, that the Biblical definition of INIQUITY = lawless and/or wicked. In other words, not being legalistic.

With the above information in mind, we can now get a glimpse of how the following scriptures are read and seen through an Apostles eyes.
